“YOU HAVE YOUR LEBANON AND ITS PEOPLE. I HAVE MY LEBANON AND ITS PEOPLE.”

Khalil Gibran
To be coming from a country that is known to be a dangerous place where people have no money to live with on a daily basis but still manage to happily live, feel fulfilled & that keep spreading love everywhere around them has to be one of the greatest realization of my life.

We all know New York as the city that never sleeps, well Beirut’s both this & the city where you still have to go to work with a cracked windshield because life always go on, even when you got bombed last night.

Picturing the life and the faces of Lebanon will undeniably be the biggest project of my life. I want the world to see how beautiful life can be when humans have a different philosophy than our occidental world’s. How precious life is when you know that tomorrow isn’t promised. How welcoming homes can feel like even when you don’t know when the next political or economic disaster will drop a bomb on your walls. Here is a few pictures that I took there during my last trip, right after Beirut explosions and that mean a lot to me.

Reconstruction, Colors and Constant Adaptation.
